Student Life

Students at Maplewood Academy thrive within the care of dedicated and caring staff members. They enjoy small class sizes with one-on-one attention from any given teacher. Rigorous academics challenge students in a college prep curriculum, while varied teaching approaches support each student's learning style.

Hands-on lab sciences such as Chemistry, Biology and Physics provide students with a strong background for their college courses. A stellar English department prepares students to face the real-world challenges of written and oral communication. Students have repeatedly returned in order to thank their teacher for the excellent preparation they received at Maplewood.

From being a National Honor Society member, to planning and executing spiritual programs as a Campus Ministries leader, Maplewood students are encouraged to cultivate their leadership abilities. Class and ASB offices also provide additional opportunities for students to gain leadership experience under the direction of faculty sponsors.

Students are able to foster lasting and beneficial frienships through a variety of extracurricular activities such as family groups, ASB events, intramurals, basketball, and musical organizations.

Gymnastics, National Honor Society, and community outreach programs give students a chance to be involved in their community and make a positive difference.
