Art Gallery That Never Happened.

Art 2 class from 2019-2020 school year.

Acrylic painting on canvas “dog heads”.

Micrography is the art of drawing visual patterns from written words. This is exclusively a Jewish art form. The students picked Bible verses to illustrate. If you look closely, you will see stretched out letters and letters close together to give a sense of value in lights and darks. It is hard to forget your verse when you write it multiple times and in multiple ways.

You will notice a famous painting illustrated in a 3D form. The students painted each piece: the foreground, mid-ground, and background. Then they created the box with a frame painted in the front, as well as accordion sides to slip each painting into, with a painted background. The students had to map out the entire painting before starting to make everything would be in the right place. They did a beautiful job!
