

Suzanne Elmer received a Bachelors of Arts from Andrews University. She has been employed by Minnetonka Christian Academy since 1993. She has also taught high school art for Atlanta Adventist Academy via Distance Learning, and Maplewood Academy via Distance Learning. She will be adding a new class to her schedule this year teaching art for the Home School community and an Art Lab after school. Suzanne will be presenting her 21st art gallery for MCA and the fourth gallery for MWA.

She has collaborated on efforts by the North American Division of Secondary Education for Fine Arts which are guidelines used in Adventist Academics across the United States. She was given the “Excellence Award in Art Instruction” by the Minnesota Board of Education in May of 2014.
​
She has recently finished a refreshment course for Elementary Art Teachers. Suzanne loves to bike, garden, cook, create art, and travel the world. She uses all of her trips to gather project ideas for her students. She is married to Burt, an Architect, has two grown children, Kallista (Travis Kierstead) and Corbin and the best of all her first grandchild, Ari.
