Ariana Guptill

After attending Maplewood Academy as a student, Ariana knew that Adventist education would one day be part of her future. Even as a high school student, she could feel the Lord calling her toward working in education. While growing up in Mankato, MN, Ariana attended public school until her 10th-grade year. Before that school year began, she decided she might want to attend Maplewood, and the Lord provided a way for her to do so.
During her time at MWA, Ariana also worked multiple summers at North Star Camp. Those experiences continued to strengthen her passion for working with youth and confirmed how much she enjoyed being part of a community centered around students. After graduating high school, she attended Southern Adventist University, where she earned her B.A. in English Education with a minor in History.
Ariana's teaching career began with her first semester back at Maplewood, where she had the opportunity to teach an English class. She then spent two wonderful years at Southview Christian School in Burnsville, MN. While she loved her time there and is grateful for the experiences and relationships she gained, Ariana is incredibly thankful to be back at Maplewood.
Although she always knew she wanted to work at an academy, she never imagined that she would have the opportunity to return to her alma mater. Being back at MWA has been a reminder of God's goodness and His ability to lead us in ways we never could have planned ourselves. There is something special about Maplewood that leaves such a positive and uplifting impression on those who attend, and Ariana feels incredibly blessed to now be part of creating that same experience for the current students at MWA.
