Karen Ratter
Mathematics
Karen Ratter was born and raised in the small, but beautiful, country of Costa Rica. She studied for a Bachelor’s and a Licenciatura in Education with an emphasis in Mathematics at UNADECA, Adventist University of Central America. When she finished her studies, she had the opportunity to serve as a volunteer for two years, one year in Walla Walla, Washington, and another year in Spain. After coming back to Costa Rica, she started working as a Math teacher at ICA, Central American Adventist Institute, now known as Alajuela Adventist Academy. Some years later, she married Gregory Ratter. Since then, they have worked together at Dakota Adventist Academy, Sandia View Academy, and now Maplewood Academy.
